Rights regarding the protection of personal data of a visa applicant

According to Estonian Personal Data Protection Act a person has the right to receive information on personal data relating to him or her and on processing of personal data and a person has the right to turn to a chief processor or an authorized processor, to Data Protection Inspectorate or to the Court for correction or deletion of his or her personal data.

In order to examine the personal data entered in the visa register a person may address the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the representation of the Republic of Estonia or Ministry of Internal Affairs.  Access to the data is enabled in consistency with Personal Data Protection Act and Public Information Act.
